skip outdoorsy and deal with us directly — here is exactly what that looks like, plus the application to get your dates on the calendar.

tell us which van and dates you want using the form below.
02
we confirm availability, pricing, and pickup details with you directly.
03
sign the rental agreement, grab the keys, and hit the road.

before you apply

is this trip right for you?

five quick questions, no wrong answers — just an honest gut check before the application below.

1. it’s your first morning in the van and the mini fridge is humming louder than you expected.

2. your planned campsite is full when you roll up, and it’s getting dark.

3. how do you feel about campground showers, gas station stops, and the occasional outdoor rinse for a few days?

4. a rattle you’ve never heard before shows up on the highway.

5. what’s your ideal trip pace?

the application

we don’t hand the keys to just anyone. fill this out and we’ll confirm availability, pricing, and pickup details with you directly — it takes about a minute. we read every one.

one last thing before we can confirm your spot — we’re a little picky about who rents our vans. name of someone who can vouch for you.

paying for your rental

cards accepted

credit card debit card cash zelle venmo cash app

over $600: if you book directly with us and your rental comes to more than $600, we need $500 of it through zelle, cash app, venmo, or cash. the rest goes on your card as normal.

we have had people charge back after a trip, and that lands hard on a small shop — this is the bit that keeps us covered on the longer bookings. anything under $600, pay however is easiest for you.

booking through outdoorsy instead? none of the above applies. outdoorsy handles payment, the deposit and the insurance end to end — you pay there, and that is the whole process.

there is also a refundable deposit on every rental, the same for everyone regardless of age — bring the van back the way you got it and it comes straight back to you. see all payment options →

where our vans can go

our rentals stay in the continental united states. roam the lower 48 all you like — but our vans can’t be taken to canada, mexico, central or south america, hawaii or alaska. that’s an insurance limit, not us being difficult. dreaming of a trip past the border? let us build you your own camper van — that one’s yours, and it goes wherever you do.
