the boring-but-important bit. these are the official rules for our two-free-nights giveaway. by entering, you agree to them and to the decisions of the sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this giveaway.

this is a giveaway, not a rental booking. if you win, you will be asked to sign our standard rental agreement in person before you take a van. that agreement is a separate contract and it governs your use of the vehicle. these rules govern the giveaway only.
01 what these rules cover
these are the complete official rules for entering this giveaway and for how a winner is chosen. they do not describe everything involved in renting one of our vans. the actual rental — including, but not limited to, insurance, deposit, mileage, condition, damage, cancellation, and what happens if something breaks — is governed by our rental agreement, which the winner signs in person when they collect the van, together with any additional terms we provide at that time. if anything in these rules conflicts with the signed rental agreement, the signed rental agreement controls. want to see the rental agreement before you enter? email hello@floridavanlife.co and we’ll send it over. we’d rather you read it early than be surprised later.how to read these rules
wherever these rules use the words “include”, “includes” or “including”, they mean “including, but not limited to,” and any list that follows is illustrative only — it is never exhaustive. headings are for convenience and do not limit what a section covers. if any part of these rules is held to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force.02 sponsor
this giveaway is sponsored and administered by Florida Van Life Co., LLC, 4671 13th ave s, saint petersburg, fl 33711, united states (the “sponsor”, “we”, “us”). this giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with instagram, facebook, meta, tiktok, youtube, pinterest, google or apple. you release those companies completely in connection with this giveaway.03 who can enter
- you must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
- you must hold a valid, current driver’s licence that you have held for at least twelve (12) months, and be able to meet our insurance requirements.
- you must carry your own auto insurance, or buy supplemental coverage from us. we must see proof of insurance before you take a van — no proof, no van.
- you must be able to collect the van in person in saint petersburg, florida. we do not deliver, and we do not pay for or arrange travel of any kind (see section 06).
- employees, officers and members of the sponsor, and their immediate family members and households, are not eligible.
- void where prohibited or restricted by law. you are responsible for knowing whether entering a promotion like this is permitted where you live, and for complying with the laws that apply to you. if entry is unlawful where you are, do not enter — and if you enter anyway, you are not eligible to win.
- one entry per person per entry period. duplicate, automated, scripted or bulk entries will be disregarded, and we may disqualify anyone we reasonably believe is submitting them.
04 entry period
there is always a two-free-nights giveaway running. the giveaway operates in entry periods: when one entry period closes, another opens. the entry period that is open right now is shown here, and this page is updated each time a new one begins. the current entry period opens october 1, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. eastern time and closes december 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. eastern time. entries received outside an entry period are not eligible. the sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeper. we may modify, suspend, extend or cancel a giveaway, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, including if fraud, tampering, a technical failure, or any other cause beyond our reasonable control affects the fairness or proper running of it. if we cancel, we may award the prize from eligible entries received up to that point.05 how to enter
complete the entry form on floridavanlife.co with your name, email address and phone number. entry is free. choosing to hear from us by email or text is entirely optional, is never pre-selected for you, and has no effect whatsoever on your chances of winning. entries become the property of the sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. we are not responsible for entries that are late, lost, misdirected, incomplete, garbled, or not received for any reason, including technical failures of any kind. by entering you confirm that the information you give us is true, current and your own. entering under a false name, a false age, someone else’s identity or contact details, or on someone else’s behalf, voids the entry.06 the prize
- one (1) winner per entry period receives two (2) consecutive nights in one of our camper vans. approximate retail value: $500 usd. total value of all prizes per entry period: $500 usd.
- the van is whichever of our rental vans is available for the dates chosen. we cannot guarantee any particular characteristic of the van, including, but not limited to, a specific van, tier, layout, colour, age, mileage, condition, equipment, or any optional feature shown in photographs, on social media or on this website.
- dates are subject to availability. there are no blackout dates, but the nights must be booked and taken within three (3) months of the drawing date. after that the prize expires.
- the prize is pick-up only, in saint petersburg, florida. all travel to and from saint petersburg is the winner’s own responsibility and expense. we do not provide or pay for flights, transfers, accommodation, visas, travel insurance or anything else required to reach us. if you cannot get here, you cannot claim the prize.
- our vans stay in the continental united states. a rental van may not be taken to canada, mexico, central or south america, hawaii, alaska, or anywhere else outside the continental u.s. — not by the winner and not by anyone else. if that’s the trip you’re dreaming of, we’d love to build you your own camper van, which is yours to take wherever you like. our rentals stay in the lower 48.
- the prize covers the two rental nights only. fuel, campsite and parking fees, insurance excess, cleaning fees, mileage beyond our standard allowance, tolls, fines, damage and every other cost are the winner’s responsibility.
- no cash alternative. no substitutions. the prize is not transferable and may not be sold, auctioned or given away. we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
- the winner must be the person who drives the van. any additional driver must be approved by us in advance and meet the same licence and insurance requirements. the van is for the winner’s own personal use — it may not be sublet, re-rented, used for ride-share or delivery work, or used commercially.
- the winner must complete verification (section 08), sign our rental agreement, provide a valid driver’s licence, satisfy our insurance requirements and pay the standard security deposit, exactly as any other renter does. if they cannot or will not, the prize is forfeited and we may select an alternate winner.
- once the winner books their dates, those dates are the prize. if they do not show up, cancel late, or cut the trip short, the prize is treated as used and there is no rebooking, refund or replacement.
07 about renting at 18
most rental companies won’t put you behind the wheel until you’re 25. we will. if you’re 18, you’re an adult, and we’d rather treat you like one than assume the worst about you. that trust runs both ways. while the van is yours, everything that happens to it is yours too — damage, cleaning, fuel, tolls, tickets and the security deposit. you sign the same rental agreement as everyone else, meet the same insurance requirements, and bring it back the way you found it. look after it, and we’ll keep doing this.08 winner selection, notification and verification
one winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the entry period, on or about january 1, 2027, and after the close of each entry period thereafter. odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. we will notify the winner using the email address and phone number submitted with their entry. the winner has seven (7) days from the date we first attempt to notify them to respond. if they do not respond within that time, cannot be reached, decline the prize, are found ineligible, or fail verification, the prize is forfeited and we may select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries. we may repeat this as many times as we reasonably need to. before the prize is awarded we may require proof of identity, age and address, a valid driver’s licence held for at least twelve months, proof of auto insurance, and a signed affidavit of eligibility, liability release and publicity release where lawful. failure to provide what we ask within the time we specify results in forfeiture. we may check the winner’s driving record and verify their licence and insurability before releasing a van, on the same basis we do for any renter. by accepting the prize the winner consents to that check. if the check does not meet our insurer’s requirements, the prize is forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected. we do not weight the drawing toward any person, region, franchise or period of time, and we will not arbitrarily remove, disqualify or reject a valid entry.09 no cheating
any attempt to gain an unfair advantage, including, but not limited to, entering more than permitted, using multiple identities, email addresses, phone numbers or accounts, using bots, scripts or other automated entry methods, or interfering with the operation of this giveaway in any way, will void all of that person’s entries and may result in permanent disqualification from this and future giveaways. we reserve the right to disqualify any person we reasonably believe has tampered with the entry process, acted in bad faith, or acted in a way intended to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.10 our right to refuse handover
winning does not override safety. we may refuse to hand over a van, or may end the rental and recover the van, in circumstances including, but not limited to, where at handover or at any point during the trip the winner (or an approved additional driver) appears impaired by alcohol or drugs, cannot produce a valid licence or proof of insurance, has given us false information, refuses to sign the rental agreement or pay the deposit, does not meet our insurer’s requirements, or behaves in a way we reasonably believe puts people or the vehicle at risk. if that happens the prize is forfeited with no cash alternative and no replacement, and the winner remains responsible for any costs already incurred.11 taxes
all federal, state, local and foreign taxes, duties and levies on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. we may be required to report the value of the prize to tax authorities and to request a completed tax form before the prize is released. if the winner does not provide it, the prize may be forfeited.12 your information
we collect your name, email address and phone number for purposes including, but not limited to, running this giveaway, verifying eligibility, preventing duplicate or fraudulent entries, and contacting the winner. if — and only if — you tick the optional box, we will also send you occasional news about vans, rentals and builds. you can unsubscribe from emails at any time, and reply stop to any text. by entering you agree that we may contact you electronically about this giveaway itself — confirming your entry, notifying you if you win, and arranging the prize. we do not sell your personal information. by entering you consent to our use of your information for the purposes described here and, where you are outside the united states, to the transfer and processing of that information in the united states, whose data protection laws may differ from those of your own country.13 publicity
except where prohibited by law, by entering you agree that if you win we may use your first name, city and state or country, likeness, photographs, and any statements or images you share with us about the trip, in any media worldwide, for advertising and promotional purposes, without further notice, compensation or approval. we will always ask before publishing material you send us directly.14 release, indemnity and limitation of liability
by entering, you agree to release, discharge, hold harmless, defend and indemnify the sponsor and its members, officers, employees, contractors and agents (together, the “released parties”) from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, injuries, costs and expenses of any kind, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen — including, but not limited to, death, personal injury, emotional distress, illness, property damage, loss of use, lost wages, travel and accommodation costs, and attorneys’ fees and legal costs — arising out of or relating to your entry, your participation in this giveaway, your acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize, or your travel to or from any giveaway-related activity. to the fullest extent permitted by law, the released parties are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, including, but not limited to, loss of profits, loss of income, loss of opportunity, loss of enjoyment, or the cost of substitute accommodation or travel, howsoever arising, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, the total liability of the released parties in connection with this giveaway is limited to the approximate retail value of the prize. the released parties are not responsible for: entries that are lost, late, misdirected or not received; technical, hardware, software, network or transmission failures of any kind; printing, typographical or human error in these rules or in any giveaway material; or any injury or damage to any person or property caused, in whole or in part, by a person’s participation in this giveaway or use of the prize. the prize is provided “as is”, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law. nothing in these rules excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited.15 events outside our control
we are not liable for any failure or delay in running this giveaway or awarding or providing the prize where it is caused by something outside our reasonable control — including, but not limited to, weather, storms, hurricanes and flooding, fire, accident, vehicle breakdown, mechanical or parts failure, theft or vandalism, illness or injury, labour disputes, supply failures, power, internet or network outages, acts of god, war or civil unrest, government or court action, or public health restrictions. if that happens we may reschedule the prize dates, substitute a prize of equal or greater value, or cancel the giveaway and award the prize from eligible entries already received.16 changes to these rules
we may update these rules at any time and for any reason, including, but not limited to, correcting an error, meeting a legal or platform requirement, or responding to circumstances outside our control. the version posted on this page is the version that applies, and the “last updated” date at the top tells you when it changed. if we make a material change during an open entry period we will post it here; continuing to participate after that means you accept the updated rules. and these rules are not the last word on the rental itself. the terms that govern the van can change, and the winner signs our current rental agreement in person when they pick the van up. that signed contract is the one that controls what happens with the vehicle.17 disputes, arbitration and governing law
these rules are governed by the laws of the state of florida, united states, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. binding arbitration. any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to this giveaway or to the prize will be resolved by final and binding arbitration administered by the american arbitration association (aaa) under its applicable consumer arbitration rules — not in court. the arbitration will be heard in person, in pinellas county, florida, before a single arbitrator, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. you and we are both giving up the right to a trial by jury. where a claim cannot lawfully be sent to arbitration, or where either of us needs a court to compel arbitration or enforce an award, the exclusive venue is the state or federal courts located in pinellas county, florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. that is the only place a claim connected with this giveaway may be brought. you agree that any claim will be brought individually, and not as part of any class or representative action, and that any recovery is limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred in entering — attorneys’ fees and punitive damages are waived to the fullest extent permitted by law. any claim arising out of or relating to this giveaway must be brought within one (1) year of the date the claim arose, to the fullest extent permitted by law. if any provision of these rules is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force. our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.18 winner’s name

a note on where our vans can go. winning or renting a van does not mean it can be registered, titled, inspected or legally driven everywhere. every state and every country sets its own emissions, safety and inspection requirements. it is your responsibility to check what applies to you. see our van information before you buy.
